Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. Proverbs 3:5 (NIV)
Wow, another month is almost complete. The season of spring is where change is continuously seen the flowers and trees as they start to bloom again after the cold winter. This April for me has figuratively been springtime signalling a change of season and pointing to change I’ve already begun to experience and change to come.
My tendency is to worry about all the unknowns and changes coming up and what this means. However, God has been teaching me in this season to stay close to Him and focus on the next step He has shown me. The rest of it, all the uncertainty and unknowns, He is more than capable of handling and will carry me through. Taking it one step at a time, I can experience His peace and I’m encouraged to grow in my relationship with Him as I trust Him to direct those steps I cannot see from my current position but which He can clearly see are up ahead in the coming months. God is my constant in the change.
I’ve already been so blessed by His peace which has filled my days. I’m also really excited about what God is doing and will do 🙂 There’s an undercurrent of excitement that I feel during my day which re-energizes me when I’m feeling tired and drained.
However, in each season there are challenges and that is true this month too. Here’s what I have working on this month:
Adding Change to Year 29- Practically
- Re-Commitment to Focus– It’s easy to stray a bit, but to be effective, focus is required.
- Left Behind– What needs to be removed from my life after this first quarter?
- Spring Forth– What God ideas do I work on in this season?
How can you use change to grow closer to God?
