surf of the wave at the beach

AYRI- At the Beach

There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. 1 John 4:18 (NIV)

I try to spend some time at the beach,  relaxing on the sand and spending time with God enjoying His beautiful creation.

I love to watch the waves as they come in and listen to the sound of them breaking. It reminds me of Amanda Cook’s song You Make Me Brave, particularly this part in the chorus:

wave in the ocean starting to break

As Your love in wave after wave

Crashes over me, crashes over me

I’m sweetly reminded of God’s amazing, “holding nothing back” love for me that crashes into every area of my life. He loved me enough to send His son Jesus and Jesus loved me enough to die to save me. I’m reminded of what it cost Him to love me.

The bridge of You Make Me Brave is powerful:

You make me brave

You make me brave

You called me out beyond the shore into the waves

You make me brave

You make me brave

No fear can hinder now the love that made a way.

The question I find myself answering is this:

Are you going to step out into the waves to pursue the dreams I’ve given you or stay in fear on the safe shore?

Are You Really In?
